Kami’s career in the art market spans over 10 years at Sotheby’s and Christie’s across their offices in Europe, the UK and the USA. Leading cross-departmental teams, Kami worked directly with (U)HNWIs and handled all aspects of art collecting. As the right hand to Sotheby’s Chairs, she played a key role in expanding the client base worldwide.
Upon moving to the public sector (Tate, the Royal Academy of Arts), Kami led high-level fundraising, securing 7-figure grants and donations. Working closely with boards and navigating complex, cross-sector negotiations, Kami pioneered new governance structures, communication strategies, funding mechanisms and international partnerships.
Alongside, Kami is a Partner at Montabonel & Partners, and a Co-Chair of Trustees of the Art Institutions of the 21st Century Foundation. Kami holds two MAs (Art History & Philosophy: Linguistics) and has lectured at King’s College London, Christie’s Education and Sotheby’s Insitute. Since 2022, Kami has been pursuing the Executive MSc in Social Business & Entrepreneurship at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), focusing on philanthropy, new business models, systems thinking and social impact.
